Summary:
Primary objective
- Determine the prevalence of pulmonary nodules, including lung cancer using NCCT.
- Determine the risk of pulmonary nodules, including lung cancer using NCCT.
- Evaluate the association of smoking, immune suppression, ART, and TB with the prevalence and risk of NCCT-diagnosed pulmonary nodules (including lung cancer).
Secondary objectives
- Determine the prevalence and risk of COPD using spirometric volumes among PLHIV, and their association with smoking, immune suppression, ART, and TB.
- Determine the rate of decline of spirometric volumes and its association with smoking, immune suppression, ART, and TB.
- Determine the prevalence and risk of ILD using spirometric volumes and NCCT among PLHIV, and their association with smoking, immune suppression, ART, and TB.
- Determine the prevalence and risk of PH, using reported clinical symptoms, TTE measurements among PLHIV, and their association with smoking, immune suppression, ART, and TB.
- Evaluate the rates of change in DLCO and FENO prospectively, and their association with smoking, immune suppression, ART, and TB.
Tertiary objectives
- Evaluate the association between spirometric volumes and participant reported QOL.
- Evaluate the association between the fidelity of study implementation and participant loss to follow-up (LTFU).
